What will the budget cuts tell the world about Virginia?

Well, thank goodness. We are going to have places where people can stop on the interstate to go to the bathroom again. Whoever wanted to close those in the first place must not have realized what an inconvenience that was to have people get off the interstate and spend money in localities. From the Eyes of the Future of Christiansburg

On June 2, 2009, at the Christiansburg Town Council Meeting, a presentation was done by the Christiansburg High School Photography Club. Reasons to be active in Government and to Vote.

When is the last time you attended a public meeting when a topic did not specifically affect you. When is the last time you did some research before you decided who you wanted to vote for? When is the last time that you went out and voted EVEN when there really wasn’t some issue going on that affect you directly? Read the rest of this entry »

He was one of the few people that I have ever seen eye-to-eye with on the main issue concerning government from the onset. Jim was quick to tell you that government serves the people. False accusations. What kind of behavior is this for elected officials?

There was a recent town meeting where I was speaking with one of our Town Council members and he stated, quite emphatically, that I had blogged negatively about the Kiwanis Club. Read the rest of this entry »

Watch out for VA House Bill #1386

It doesn’t seem to be available in print/pdf format yet but the summary provided indicates this bill HB1386 would make it possible for constitutional amendments (State of Virginia) would be posted on a website and NOT in detail in newspapers. Read the rest of this entry »
