Light rain on 3/28/2010 630 Depot St. NE in the Cambria Historic District. The area is that surrounding the Historic Christiansburg "Cambria" Depot listed in the National Registry. The following photographs show the flow path of water which has gotten worse as more development is put in at higher elevations without adequate stormwater management. This is not a problem for the Historic District alone. Many other neighborhoods have the same problem. No ditches, no drains and continued growth resulting in loss of pervious surface. Growth is fine, but the Town has a responsibility to upgrade and maintain stormwater management systems so as to protect existing homes and other structures from damage.
